This case study offers some reflections on the restorative potential of the Probation measure (Messa alla Prova, MAP), when it is effectively linked, from a teleological perspective to the aims inherent in the restorative paradigm. To this end, drawing on several fruitful intersections between research and practice, the article examines—also through an interview with a direct participant—an interesting case of restorative activities connected to MAP. This case is presented as a paradigmatic example for exploring the potential of the restorative approach, including in the direct involvement of law enforcement agencies.
